The Panini America Quality Control Gallery: Must-See Stuff from 2010-11 Zenith Hockey

June 28, 2011

Perhaps lost amid all the pre-release buzz swirling around 2010-11 Dominion Hockey right now is one extremely important fact: Panini America still has a series of absolutely stunning NHL products on the release docket between now and then.

2010-11 Luxury Suite — out on Wednesday — is one such product. 2010-11 Zenith Hockey, shipping this week, is another.

Earlier today, Stephanie Carlson — Panini America’s VP of Production who’s always on the lookout for cool stuff to share with our collectors — stopped by the marketing office to show me the goods from one case of the just-completed Zenith quality control process.

The product boasts a bevy of on-card autographs and a crisp design. But more profoundly, it wields the shimmering Nufex technology like a mesmerizing magic wand. Certainly, it left quite an impression on me.

Here, see what I mean . . .

Hi Tracy…Zenith looks like another winner for Panini ! I just opened some LUXURY Suite (Great Product) today…i pulled my favorite player (Derek Stepan) , just a little disappointed that its a Redemption auto card # /199 , For heaven sake…the season is over and youre still inserting redemptions…Whats up with that ??? Why is it so hard to get Memb. and autos of Stepan…its a Bummer for us Ranger fans , Joe. R (NYC)

i really like the “Yours Truly” and “Private signing” cards. The simple clean white cards of those two sets really contrast the ultra shiny foil cards.

Wow!!! Gotta love all the foiling. Really nice looking product and who doesn’t like on-card auto’s?!?!?!?!

Why does a three player card only have swatches for two of the three?

That Tyler Seguin rookie is sweet!!!!!!! I would prefer that over some of the auto’d cards. Are you guys giving any of these away?

Totally feels like the 90’s!! Love it! Great looking inserts in this series, and I have my eye on that Cam Neely CANUCKS insert! If only he was in Vancouver for the last 90% of his career… Anyways great looking lineup. Excited for my first break!

Wow… I was worried that these would look a little over the top with all the foil, but they look great! I WANT the Seguin card, the cards with three teammates look great. This set looks all around pretty awesome! Panini, you’ve got me hooked.
