New Autos, Prizm Previews Shed Promising Light on 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey

Panini America 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey Preview (12)

The palpable and ever-building anticipation for next month’s release of 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey can best be summarized in three words: Silhouettes. Inscriptions. Prizm. Indeed, Panini America’s newest NHL product is set to launch June 5 boasting ample doses of each of those brand-making blockbusters — and it’s hard to decipher at this point which one collectors are looking forward to most.

Hockey’s debut of the Prizm technology in special Prizm Preview packs is certainly something to write home about. But the sheer beauty of the autographed Silhouettes and Rookie Silhouettes is pretty awesome, too. Of course, then there’s the see-through splendor of the acetate Inscriptions. Ultimately, as is always the case, collectors will decide which of the three they prefer. Either way, it’s sure to mean good things for 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey.

Earlier today, inspired by the sheer excitement of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs, I ventured back to the massive Acquisitions vault to capture some preview images of the most-recently returned Inscriptions and Silhouettes autographs. Along the way, Panini America NHL Brand Manager Chris Barr brandished one uncut Prizm sheet to add to today’s show-and-tell.

Enjoy — and let us know your thoughts on 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey so far.

Really digging the Elite Inscriptions, good call making them vertical instead of horizontal like this year’s football counterparts. Thanks Tracy!

if you have no room for that uncut sheet may I suggest a place for it? Although I’d kill for that Eric Lindros..My Flyers need a player like him again and soon.
