NFL rookie quarterback Ryan Nassib will serve as Panini America’s special guest Tuesday as the company partners with Modell’s Sporting Goods in New York City’s Times Square to kick off Panini America’s 2013 NFL trading cards and stickers collectibles season.

Nassib, the former Syracuse quarterback who was drafted in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, will appear at the Times Square Modell’s location from 5 to 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday to interact with fans and to sign free Panini Score Hot Rookies Photo Cards.

“As the NFL kicks off what will be an exciting season that culminates with Super Bowl XLVIII in New York/New Jersey, we are pleased to be working with a great partner like Modell’s Sporting Goods to bring Ryan to NFL fans in New York,” said Jason Howarth, Vice President of Marketing at Panini America. “Fans also will be able to get Ryan’s Score Rookie sticker for our 2013 NFL Sticker Collection along with stickers of other NFL players in the Monday edition of the Daily News.”

The special event represents one part of a massive NFL kick off initiative that also includes the distribution of more than 2.1 million free 2013 NFL sticker sheets beginning this Sunday, September 8, in New York’s Daily News, and the start of the company’s Super Bowl XLVIII Kid Reporter contest. If you’re in the area, be sure to come by the Times Square Modell’s (234 W. 42nd Street). Call 212-764-7030 for more information and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for complete coverage of the event.

Looks like a fun promotion for those who can attend, it will be interesting to hear what he has to say about his first time on an NFL sideline during a rivalry game like Giants/Cowboys. Thanks Tracy!

    Just an FYI.
Went to the signing on Tuesday.
Usually these are haphazard, have poor communication and generally not fun.
Ryan was very personable; chatted with people; shook hands and posed for photos.
Even with all this it went very smoothly and was FUN! Shouldn’t it be :)
Even those who I believe were Panini rep’s were very personable and accommodating!

KUDO’S to Modell’s and Panini for a very enjoyable time.

I only wish other store’s would follow their lead.

PLEASE do some more in the future!

    Charlie
