Teaser Gallery: Panini America Breaks Two Early Boxes of 2013 Contenders Football

December 31, 2013

Panini America 2013 Contenders Football Teaser (1)

As we count down the final fascinating hours of a fantastic 2013, we can think of precious few things we’d rather be doing right about now than previewing the first Panini America product to release in 2014. And this much is an undeniable fact: When 2013 Contenders Football releases on Friday, it will absolutely be the best football product of the year. (Of course, at that time, it will also be the only football product of the year.)

But semantics aside, 2013 Contenders Football is primed to pack a wallop beginning January 3 with its trademark autographed Rookie Tickets and a wealthy share of scarce parallel versions, a bevy of new-look designs and a penchant for over-delivering. The two boxes we busted this morning to produce the following Teaser Gallery promised five autographs per box. Both delivered six.

The result is a more-rewarding-than-expected bust and the makings of a spectacular start to the new year. The following teaser gallery takes you pack-by-pack through two boxes (that’s 48 packs) to give collectors an early idea of what to expect when the 2013 Contenders Football releases on Friday.

Enjoy, and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.

So each box yielded one extra auto. That’s always nice to see.

Big fan of the designs this year. The only one I don’t like is the MVP cont set, and that’s a small concern.
Have a checklist? Selecting ‘Contenders’ on the site doesn’t work yet.

Will the retail blasters this year release about the same time as the hobby? Will they feature many SPs like last year too?

Looking good so far, some of this year’s better names pulled from each box. T-Rich in a Colts uniform was a highlight for me personally. Thanks Tracy!

Can anyone tell me if the jordan poyer is tetail exclusive for contenders?? Also is he a shortprint? I pulled his rookie ticket auto redemption and there has only been 2 on ebay. 1 sold and 1 currently listed. All the others are the numbered variations. Thank you.
