Find It! Friday: Win Boxes of Black Football, Elite Basketball in Panini America Hunt

January 24, 2014

knight-vip

Any time you’re making a morning commute in the Dallas area and your dashboard thermometer reading matches Philip Rivers’ jersey number, well, you know it’s bone-chilling cold. Clearly, a 17-degree temperature outside mean it’s time for us to heat things up on the inside right here on The Knight’s Lance with another epic “Find It! Friday” contest.

We’ve delivered a wealthy share of must-see galleries this week and they will serve as your visual playground for this edition of “Find It! Friday” as we continue the Panini America tradition of giving back to our loyal fans and collectors. Up for grabs this time: Boxes of 2013 Black Football and 2013-14 Elite Basketball for five lucky winners.

Somewhere in the linked galleries below, we’ve hidden between two and five smaller, perhaps-somewhat-manipulated versions of the Panini knight. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to tell us — AS A COMMENT TO THIS POST — how many hidden knights you found and on which images you found them.

We’ll wait to approve all comments until after the entry deadline — which is roughly 12 hours from right now (January 24, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. CST) – so your comment will appear to you as “pending moderation.” That’s our way of protecting your answers to this contest so that everyone else can’t see them. To be eligible to win, please keep your answers to yourself until after the deadline. We want to reward those folks who’ve taken the time and effort to find the hidden images.

We’ll place all correct entries into an online randomizer and award five winners with their very own boxes of 2013 Black Football and 2013-14 Elite Basketball. Just to be clear, here is the hidden image you’re looking for:

    Tracy,

Odd venue to ask, but has there ever been a print run announced on the 2012 Fathers Day Peyton Manning Autograph? I have never seen another anywhere. I think it may be the first autograph ever of Peyton as a Bronco…I appreciate any help you can give me.

I’ve done this a few times, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

I feel like the reason they don’t just allow the pending posts immediately after the deadline is because they want to give people the chance to play along for a few days (even if they’ll end up being ineligible anyways because it’s after the deadline). It’s probably just for people who want to have fun doing the scavenger hunt regardless of if they will win anything. I say this because it’s clear that it doesn’t take long to scroll down a page and click an “accept” button for all of the pending posts. (As you can see on the Pinnacle thread was constantly updating yesterday and is already up to 181 posts!) Putting the eligible winners into the system and selecting them surely would take a little bit of time and effort since they have to read each and every post, but the actual allowing of the pending posts to show up on the thread isn’t the issue.

One thing I’ve learned about these contests is to always be patient and to not ask if the winners have been selected yet because it will be pretty clear when they are, trust me on that (you will see a post from Tracy).

Anyways, I hope this somewhat elaborate post helps a few people understand things a little bit more. And thank you so much again to Panini for the amazing contests. We are truly spoiled by the amount of cards that we are even given the opportunity to win for FREE!

*Remember, sometimes the best gifts require some patience!*

    • January 27, 2014 2:12 pm

On the scavenger hunts you have a certain amount of time and this was over on the 24th at 11:59 CST they gave people 12 hours to find the images not a couple days.

      • January 27, 2014 3:32 pm

I did not mean to offend! I am new to this and wasn’t sure if I was missing something. I am finding out pretty quickly that panini has some amazing cards and deals and very much appreciate the fact that I have a chance to win some of there products.

      • Hayley R permalink
        January 27, 2014 3:47 pm

Yes, I know. If you read closely I said it’s about giving people time to do it REGARDLESS of whether or not they are eligible for the drawing. Some people may not have been able to do it during the 12 hour period but still wanted to have the FUN of doing the scavenger hunt anyways. (I mean seriously, if you look back at previous scavenger hunts you will notice that like 10+% of all entries are entered after the deadline even though they aren’t eligible to win by the rules.)

Just because the scavenger hunt to win the boxes of cards is over, that doesn’t mean that people shouldn’t still be able to give it a try if they want to! That’s their choice! Think of all of the kids who do this just for the fun of it! These hunts are for people of ALL ages! Panini is literally one of the only companies I know of that doesn’t discriminate their prizes to any age group, sex, location, etc! It’s open for everyone!

      • January 28, 2014 9:22 am

Yeah I know these scavenger hunts and how they work I do them every time there is one. People are just asking about winners because the contest was over on Friday night. It’s not about being impatient. Some people are new and other people are just anxious and want to know if they won some of this sweet product. Yes everyone knows that Panini is the only company that does cool stuff like this for collectors. No one said the discriminate other people race or color. People just want to know if they won that’s it. I’m am very grateful I get a chance to win with all the chances Panin gives I will never complain about it because there is no company as good as Panini.

Oh I hope you didn’t read it the wrong way Ed! There was no offense taken! People are always new to the contests (I was new a few months ago actually!). But what I learned is that it just takes some time for everything to happen, from the approving of the messages to the actual selection of winners. It’s a process. So I don’t exactly know why, but I guess I just decided to make a little post for all the new people just reminding everyone of the process and that it does take a little bit of time.

It’s funny, because usually in every contest there are at least a few people who ask if the winners have been announced yet before they even moderate the posts!

So don’t worry! Because it will be very obvious when the winners are announced as it will be from Tracy himself! And even if you decide not to check back to see when the winners are announced and don’t want to be notified of follow-up comments, they will always email you if you were chosen anyways! It’s a can’t-lose situation!

Im pretty sure its bc they are the media fest that is the SuperBowl! Lol If you Haven’t checked it out yet, or looked at Twitter lately, they are also going around with the Kid reporter winner Curtis. Its Really cool and and you all should see what this kid is Doing haha. I bet he and his dad are having a blast! Not sure exactly who is doing it but that probably explains any delay on the contest.
        good luck all!

  31. January 27, 2014 9:24 pm

couldn’t have said it better Hayley R. there has been times i was way after the deadline for the contest and wrote my answers on paper so i wouldn’t give them more entries to go through and just check them with the winners.
