TAMPA, Fla. — Over the course of three sun-soaked days during the just-completed Florida leg of Panini America’s premiere Panini Spring Training Road Trip, company¬†officials interacted with 18 of professional baseball’s young stars and promising prospects in a laid-back atmosphere riddled with laughs, Tweets, autographs, good times, pics and lots of discussion. Over the course of the next several days, we’re going to bring you much of that discussion via video with the Panini Spring Training Road Trip Interview Series.

Panini America Customer Service Manager David Sharp got things started on Tuesday in Stuart, Fla., with some casual conversations featuring St. Louis Cardinals superstar Michael Wacha and New York Mets catcher Travis d’Arnaud. The resulting video is must-see stuff.

Enjoy — and stay tuned in the coming days for additional video interviews featuring Byron Buxton of the Minnesota Twins, Mike Napoli of the Boston Red Sox, Cameron Rupp of the Philadelphia Phillies, Jameson Taillon of the Pittsburgh Pirates and more.

I always enjoy these types of videos and this one is no exception. Michael Wacha said something that inspired an idea: how about a player personal collection buyback series? Cards from a player’s actual collection from the lineage of Panini products dating back into the 80s bought back then stamped 1/1 and affixed with a unique hologram that would go with a second COA card that has the player’s signature proving it came from their specific collection. They can be placed together in a single penny sleeve to keep them together in the packout process. This set could be issued across the entire series of Panini baseball releases as an ongoing bonus for fans to chase. Thanks Tracy!

Great video as always! I hope MLB takes note of the great job Panini has done with their MLBPA and give you guys a chance in 2020 at the license. #nomoretopps
