About

The Panini Group was established more than 50 years ago in Modena, Italy, and with its subsidiaries throughout Europe and Latin America, is the world leader in the published collectibles sector. Panini is also the leading multi-national publisher of comics, children’s magazines and manga in Europe and Latin America.

The Panini Group expected to reach record sales approaching $1 billion in 2009 and has distribution in 100 countries and employs a staff of more than 800.

In January 2009, the NBA announced Panini would become the exclusive trading card partner of the NBA beginning with the 2009-10 season.

The Panini Group purchased the industry’s second-oldest trading-card company, Donruss, in March and formed the new subsidiary, Panini America, Inc.

Since that time, Panini has taken significant steps to fortify its position on the basketball landscape, including an exclusive agreement with five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers as its official company spokesman and global trading card ambassador.

In March of 2010, the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) and National Hockey League (NHL®) granted the Panini Group a multi-year trading card license, marking the third major sports license that The Panini Group has secured since establishing a presence in the U.S. in 2009.

In September of 2011, Panini America inked a trading card agreement with the Major League Baseball Players Association and is the only trading card manufacturer in the world with a presence in all four major U.S. sports. In the months since, Panini America has added agreements with the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and USA Baseball.

The Panini Group is the world leader in officially licensed collectibles and is fast becoming the most significant publisher of collectibles in the U.S. with official licenses for NBA, NFL, NHL, FIFA, Disney, DreamWorks, Warner Bros., and other key properties from many other licensors. Panini also has exclusive partnerships with Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc., the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Can you explain how the redemption process works and how quickly (or slowly) to expect replacements or at a minimum the status of the redemptions. I would assume damaged cards are different than redemptions and would like both explained since customer service is non-responsive.

Hey, how do I go about trying to get featured on the PC Profile.
I’ve got a pretty big PC of Brian Leonard (close to 300 cards), and I would love to be featured on the blog.
    How can I apply?

    Thanks,
    Josh

Would love to feature you, Josh. Just email me a brief summary of how your collection started and how it’s grown. I also need sweet, big images of your favorite Panini/Donruss/Playoff/Leaf cards.

      Email me at thackler@paniniamerica.net

Why is there no information on the print run for the Pen Pals Autographs out of National Treasures? I would love to know how many of these sweet cards exist!

For those of my generation, Panini is probably remembered best as that company that gave us a reason to beg our parents for some extra stickers to fill our albums back in the 1980’s. It’s interesting to notice the bigger presence it does have over in Europe, especially in the comics industry I sorta wish we had over here. It would be nice if Panini America would consider that sometime in the future, but with the way the comic book industry is over here, it’s hard to say if it will ever get back to where I want it to be, but it’s sad thinking kids aren’t really into what I once had 30 years ago.

    hey tracy,
What do I do if a redemption card has been labelled as shipped and I haven’t received it in almost 3 weeks. I’ve received all other redemptions that were shipped on that day, but this one I believe might be lost in the mail. Sorry I didn’t see a place to email you directly to ask so I figured you would see it this way.

    Thanks, Ken

This auction is for one Co-Stars Dual Memorabilia card of James Dean & Natalie Wood, from Donruss Americana Trading Cards. Both actors co-starred in “Rebel Without a Cause” in 1955. The card is in MINT-NRMT condition. It’s card #CSM-3 within the set, serial numbered #1/1 !Item number: 370523799057 Ebay.
Can you tell me if this is a legitimate 1/1 because I never read anything about a Dean/Wood 1/1 can you please confirm all the James Dean 1/1. I only know of two and I got them from the beckett checklist. Thanks

From Panini America Brand Manager Carl Braun:
“With additional help on my end, we believe this card is legitimate and likely a prize that was given away at the National Sports Collectors Convention.”

Would you be able to track down a contact person for me to ask if this can be validated as a piece of Reggie White’s auto cutup in your 2008 Threads product?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/350489017623?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_500wt_922

I have been DYING to get a Reggie White auto and when I saw this I figured it was well worth the $10 to try and find out if it’s real. The “auto” goes well under the GU window and there appears to be no tampering. Just thought I’d ask. Thanks in advance for any help.

I just finished reading the article about NHL rookies drawing/creating their own cards and I was wondering if Panini will be making these cards available (by auctioning or selling) to the public. I really like a few of them and think they would make for great conversation in my collection.

    Thanks…NB

They’ll be randomly inserted as instant-win cards at the 2013 Toronto Fall Expo this weekend. But check out eBay as many of them always find their way there.

Just was wandering how to get involved in the trading card industry. My 2 sons love the cards panini produces! Both football and baseball. I have spent a lot of money on both sports !!! Lol. Just wanted to know if there was any coupons of any sort!! Thanks, Jason Miller.

You guys just revolutionized the industry for the better. If the others don’t follow suit they’ll be squashed out in a matter of less than 5 years. Redemptions are the biggest bone of contention among collectors. PROBLEM SOLVED. AWESOME WORK! I’m pumped!
