It’s amazing the things you uncover during the course of a corporate relocation, especially when that corporation is Panini America moving offices for the first time in more than a decade.
Some things, like my checkered personnel file, brought back bad memories. Other stuff, like unopened boxes of bygone baseball products, generated decidedly different emotions.
In this exclusive video, the first of what promises to be a continuing series, we rip open a box of 2002 Playoff Piece of the Game Baseball.

Ya I really liked the Pics of the item on the back. Sneak me a box out of there, they’ll never know!
Do you remember the three hour meeting you had with Mr. Blackwell writing the box copy for this product? That meeting was actually more horrific than the product itself which is saying something.
Juddy, there are some things you can’t erase from your memory no matter how hard you try.
The pics of the items are a great idea. Definetly need to bring that back. And maybe a moving day retro giveaway would be cool. Especially for us late bloomers who weren’t in the hobby then.
Kinda cool! Not much into baseball but hey, if y’all happen to find some 2005 football product (especially Classics) find me a Lofa Tatupu Timeless Tributes card lol! It’s been 6 years and I’ve still never seen any parallel of his from that set.
Great video, it’s always nice to find old unopened boxes of cards. Maybe Panini will return to the licensed baseball market soon?

Last time I moved all I found was some old bank statements and a bunch of note books from grad school.

Just curious what do you do with the cards after you rip open a box like the ones shown in this video? I mean if you didn’t know you had them for nine years, they would be given the proper attention in my collection! Just saying…I enjoyed the video – thx
I hope you do go back to putting the pictures on the back. I think the collectors that care about such things are in general weary or tired of vague descriptions that has become the norm.
Oh, and if you need to clear up space, I could find those Kerry Woods a good home. I’ll second the idea of a retro contest!
