Video & Gallery: On the Production Line with 2011 Absolute Memorabilia Football

October 10, 2011

Last Friday we gave you a tantalizing peek into the packout process for 2011 Absolute Memorabilia Football, an image-filled appetite-whetting precursor to today’s exclusive video footage taken right there on the production line.

In addition to the brief-but-compelling piece of cinematography that follows, we also managed to get our hands on some additional cards from packout that will shed just a little more light on what collectors can expect from the highly anticipated product that began shipping today.

Enjoy first the video . . .

And then the gallery . . .

Dang, I hope these’ll be available retail.
And you need more dramatic theme music. Maybe the Final Countdown by Europe 😉

HEy Tracy is it true that Absolute got pushed back until next week? Thats what a local cardshop owner said. I saw you said it starts shipping today but i was just wondering if that means we will be able to buy it this week or next week? Thanks!

I’m a little disappointed that there are stickers autos in this product. $155+ and you still get stickers? Not happy! I might buy some singles, but there’s no way I’m buying boxes of this. Certified and Crown Royale seem like their FAR better values!

Hey Chris you must have not noticed that just about all of the rookie autos are on-card, as will Crown Royale and Certified which will be the first time since ive been collecting. I think Panini is doing a great job on including on-card autos this year. You should buy some boxes of Absolute this year because the design this year is SICK and the patches are always AMAZING in Absolute. And let me know if you hit a Aaron Rodgers auto because i will buy it from you! Ha ha, 4real though, i am his #1 fan. Take care

    Tracy,

I don’t think I could control myself in a place like that. Don’t you ever get the urge to just reach back and snag one of those beauties. I know it wouldn’t be professional to admit it but they just look really enticing stacked back to back like that in piles of 100 or more!!! Thanks for sharing all of that, now I am more jealous of you than ever!!

Tracy, why do you keep tempting me to spend my son’s law school tuition money on more Panini products? That Ingram is the BOMB!

Wow, i love these production line videos of how it all comes together. The one from a few months ago with them all getting sliced and packed was AWESOME. And chance of getting a camera into the printing facility one day or is it all a hush hush secret proprietary process?

Glad you like them, Rhys. I’ll get some more printing facility footage at the next available opportunity.

Awesome stuff. I really enjoy these “behind the scenes” videos and I love the on-card rookie autos even more. Excited to see the Vick, Foster, Peterson, Rodgers, and Polamalu autos in the video…LOVE chasing after the superstar veterans!

Again, this is the best Absolute has looked in a few years. Awesome stuff!
