Before the Cuts: Behind the Scenes with the Upcoming 2011 Donruss Limited Cuts
Several veteran members of the Panini America Product Development team recently spent significant portions of their months tirelessly researching, scrutinizing and acquiring cut signatures from the some of the most legendary sports, entertainment and political figures in American history.
The lion’s share of their labor will be featured attractions in the December release of 2011 Donruss Limited Cuts, a product previewed to rave reviews earlier this week right here on The Knight’s Lance.
Below is an exclusive peek at just some of the historic autographs the Panini America team has in store for the product, including incomparable cuts from the likes of Muhammad Ali, Roberto Clemente and Cy Young, to name three.
Hi Tracy…Im gonna be very interseted in this Awesome product…its gonna make a Great Christmas gift to myself…lol ! Whats the Manufacturer’s Suggest Retail price per pack/case going to be ? Thanks.
We don’t release SRPs, but will release the MAP (minimum advertised price) in the coming weeks.
Thanks for showing these off in their unaltered state. Obviously it’s a bit late to include in this product, but I’d really like to see a cut signature of Willie Mays before his current signature style was adopted.
VEry cool behind the scenes. I had always wondered what these looked like before being put into cards.
Just curious, who authenticates the cut signatures for Panini? I imagine these all go to someone before they are packed out to prevent future problems.
Yes, sir. These are thoroughly scrutinized and authenticated prior to being processed.
The side by side Roger Hornsby signatures look totally different. Who besides Panini guarantees the signatures?
Awsome!!!
Awesome…ha.
That’s what happen when you type fast.
I would love to see a Harry Kalas cut in there.
I cant wait to bust some boxes of this stuff! I would pass out if i pullled a Clemente or Ty Cobb. Will Mickey Mantle or Lou Gherig or Ted Williams cuts be in there?
