Insert Inspection: 2011-12 Limited Hockey Brothers in Arms & Retired Numbers

October 23, 2011

The Panini America team returns from the corporate homeland of Modena, Italy, on Monday. And when we arrive back in the office on Tuesday, you can bet we’ll have tons of images and updates from our quality time spent in Modena, Venice and Milan.

So just to buy us just a little more time until then (while also providing a meaningful sneak peek into the upcoming 2011-12 Limited Hockey), here’s a look at two can’t-miss inserts from the set: Brothers in Arms (a unique two-player, game-worn-memorabilia tribute to the top goalies in the game) and Retired Numbers, a legendary set that tends to speak for itself.

Take a look now and stay tuned in the coming days for additional updates from our Italy excursion.

Is there going to be a Retired Numbers card for Rod Brind’Amour?

    Tracy,
Is there going to be an auto version of the Brother in Arms? You know how much I love that Markstrom!
    Have safe travels.

Hey Tracy, when will we see the return of the ‘Private Signings’? Will there be a few inserted into Limited, or just later in the year? I have been a huge fan of the set since day one and just picked up the last one to have them all….so far. Great work, it is a beauty of a set.

Those are going to look great on the non-auto parallels with the big empty space on the card. My god the Panini designers are the laziest SOBs in the industry.

Didn’t your mom ever tell you that if you have Nithing nice to say… better to say nothing at all? Consider applying that axiom to your SmartPhone.

There is a mistake on Bobby Clarke’s retired numbers card. You have “1996-84”.

And sure I’ll take a free card for letting you know 😉
