New Autos for National Treasures Football, Elite Hockey Spark Panini America Mail Day

February 23, 2012

The influx of on-card autographs hitting Panini America headquarters these days is staggering not just in terms of volume but especially in terms of sheer, unadulterated collecting beauty. And for proof, I present the following assortment of images featuring new arrivals from just the last few days alone.

What you’re about to see — including key inclusions from the upcoming 2011 National Treasures Football, 2011 Totally Certified Football, 2011 Prime Signatures Football, 2011-12 Donruss Elite Hockey and 2011 Preferred Basketball — was enough to leave me weak-kneed and enamored.

Here’s hoping these cards have the same mesmerizing effects on you. And be sure to stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued updates in the coming days.

So many autos and so little money in my wallet!

Why Hackler… why? I’ve got a mortgage to pay, man, and I’m forced to squander my salary on the little things like…food & electricity. The Crown Royale issues, not to mention the Murray NFL badge, ensure that I’ll be dining on Ramen noodles & Wells Fargo will just have to forgo payment the month that N/T Football and Royale Basketball are released.

You are a funny, good man, Jamey.

What are some of the case hits in Preferred Basketball?

  6. February 23, 2012 3:38 pm

Check out Crown Royale basketball? THAT’S WHAT I WANTED IN FOOTBALL! WHY couldn’t that patch auto been the same in football? Move the player over to the left, so a majority of the patch is visible unlike the football version where its hidden for the most part? (shrugs shoulders)

On the Elite Hockey 6 6 6 cards, is that regular thick card stock or are they made of plastic? The way the light hits the edges it almost looks like they may be made out of plastic or have a plastic coating? Just wondering thank you 🙂 Beautiful cards!!

    • February 23, 2012 4:24 pm

It’s regular thick stock with a super-sheen finish. They look awesome in person.

I know I have seen some pictures of Sakic Prime Numbers cards here on the blog before. Is he going to be signing some of those? I’m so glad that he’s been signing for the card companies after his retirement.

    • February 23, 2012 8:04 pm

If you’ve seen Prime Numbers cards of Sakic, their will be autographed versions.

contenders Hockey looks awsome but i hope the black boarders won’t chip easy, this seems to be a problem in the past

    Tracy,
These Calder Contenders are awesome. Ever since Panini raised the bar on hockey, my wallet has not been the same. Can we get some more pictures of those Calder Contenders? Also how many Calder Contenders fall per case?
    Thanks
    T

    • February 23, 2012 8:05 pm

Appreciate the kind words, T. I’ll try to get answers to your second question. As for for your first question, I’ll bring more pics of new Calder Contenders as soon as I can get them.

I’m very excited for that NT 1958 “Greatest Game” set. Just an awesome idea. Would be cool if my man, Mr. Berry, had a signed version!

    Nothing short of incredible!

  27. February 25, 2012 7:45 pm

Hi Tracy. I really am a big consumer of your basketball products. My # 1 concern is I have many redemptions that is filed and needs attention. This hinders my urge to open more. Hope you can do something about this. CS is not getting back to me.

    Thank you.

Not sure what this move to the tan background is about. Five Star did it, and now here in NT….NOT A FAN! And yes, I know they are made from two different companies to anyone that sees this. But to me, the NT preview looks like someone ate a box of Supreme and a box of Five Star, and vommited up this mess. Love all the previous year’s design if that’s any consolation : )

What’s with the release date on 2011 NT football? I hear it was pushed back. I love NT, but they need to bump up the release dates. It would also be nice if Panini communicated this rather than the LCS.
