A Glimpse Inside 2013 Contenders Football: New Gallery Spies Latest Key Arrivals
While gridiron collectors across North America patiently await the arrival of Panini America’s 2013 Totally Certified Football and 2013 Select Football in the next three weeks, company officials are steadfastly keeping at least one eye focused on pre-release preparations for the juggernaut that follows those two: 2013 Contenders Football.
In the last few days, several key on-card additions have arrived back at Panini America HQ for packout, including pivotal Rookie Cards and variations from EJ Manuel, Montee Ball, Terrance Williams, Cordarrelle Patterson, Aaron Dobson, Manti Te’o and Robert Woods. What’s more, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman autographed and returned a limited number of his 2012 Contenders Football RCs for inclusion in this year’s release.
As you’ll see in the gallery that follows, 2013 Contenders Football is packed with an impressive variety of variations and new autographed inserts that promise to keep one of collecting’s most storied brands atop collector wantlists once again.

Really hoping to see Micah Hyde in Contenders…as a Packers and Hawkeyes fan its been frustrating that he hasn’t been in any products. As always, Contenders should be another fun release.
Yeah, Hyde would be a great addition, but it would be awesome to see Jarrett Boykin as well! If either of these guys end up in this set, I’ll be spending a lot to get Lacy, Franklin, and whomever else shows up!

VERY VERY VERY happy to see that maybe panini is cracking down on players autographing with just their initials. Nothing is as bad as getting an auto of a guy and it looks like a second grader signed it. Can you imagine Tom Brady auto being TB#12. A nice big space for the player to actually sign on the card is the way to go for high end stuff. Pre-ordering cases after seeing this design.
2 part question, Is Matt McGloin going to have an auto in this and is the Richard Sherman going to be considered an insert or a 2012 rookie card?
He will most likely be an insert as his unsigned cards did appear in 2013 Contenders. Don’t think McGloin is in here but will confirm.
PLEASE, PLEASE get McGloin included! If not in Contenders then at least one upcoming release.

Just a thought, we really need a RG3 and Terrance Williams card. Pen Pals would have been perfect. The Baylor boys, just pitching a idea. It would sell for good coin as well
