Panini America 2013 National Treasures Football Main

That thunderous commotion you just heard has nothing to do with the Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl-winning Legion of Boom secondary. Well, OK, the Legion of Boom has something to do with it. But there’s more to the ruckus than that, like the exclusive first look at Panini America’s 2013 National Treasures Football, the super-premium juggernaut due out in late March that’s primed to produce one of its best performances ever.

Every eight-card box of 2013 National Treasures Football will yield two base cards, Rookies or Legends numbered to 99 or less, three autographs numbered to 99 or less and three memorabilia cards numbered to 99 or less. The product is also set to deliver an unrivaled selection of on-card autographs, rare memorabilia, memorabilia booklets and Hall of Fame cut autographs. And yes, Panini America will also pay tribute to Seattle’s aforementioned Legion of Boom, front man Richard Sherman and the Seahawks’ entire 12th Man movement in truly unique ways.

Anchoring National Treasures Football once again this season will be the product’s trademark Rookie Signature Materials RCs with on-card autographs and jumbo prime memorabilia pieces from the players who attended the 2013 NFLPA Rookie Premiere. Base Silver versions will be numbered to 99 and paralleled by Gold (numbered to 49), Black (numbered to 25), Platinum (numbered to five), Nike Swoosh (numbered to two) and Laundry Tag, NFL Shield and Printing Plates (all numbered to one) versions.

To be sure, 2013 National Treasures Football is absolutely loaded with history and high-dollar hits. Some of the highlights . . .

  • NFL Patches game-worn memorabilia cards featuring Captain, 50th Anniversary Hall of Fame, Pro Bowl, Brand LogoNFL Shield and Seahawks 12th Man patches.

As a season-ticket holding 12th Man, I love the “12th Man” Richard Sherman insert. It is a must have!

how much does a box cost this year??

Interesting twist to add graphics to the cards, like Sherman’s, and Manning’s. I will learn to like it but am a big fan of the simplicity of the white with foil elements.

Would love to see full jersey redemptions in this product that are ready to send to consumers when redeemed.

Great product, look forward to getting in on some breaks!

    Thanks for sharing Tracy!

Is this going to be more veteran heavy due to the as we know weak rookie class?

What will they be now, $699 a box. I’m still waiting on all my Russell Wilson Redemption cards to be signed. This draft class is bogus compared to 2012. I would only buy a box if they were 300 and under!

This is what happens when Panini flexes all of it’s muscles and puts out a museum quality product. Wish the rookie class was better, but atleast the cards look good. And adding in more hall of fame and elite veteran hits helps balance out people getting pissed when they get a $2 auto of a fourth stringer.

Is it me or does that Jim Thorpe card look like it came down from heaven. Something iconic about those old football players and the black and white photos of them that just looks amazing on the high quality cards. Looking for more of this honoring the old timers on cards. Just don’t put the guys that nobody but my grandfather has heard of. Stick to the Thorpe, Lombardi, Butkus, and less of the ALEX WOJCIECHOWICZ. Try fitting that on a card.
