Go Behind the Scenes on the Panini America Spring Training Road Trip (Gallery)
FT. MYERS, Fla. — Two days into the inaugural Panini Spring Training Road Trip and here is just a smidgen of what we’ve learned so far: 2014 Prizm Baseball is as mesmerizing to the players on the cards as it will be to the collectors collecting them. World Series champion Mike Napoli’s beard is way more impressive in person than it is on TV. Minnesota Twins young star Byron Buxton, the No. 1 prospect in all of baseball, grew up admiring his home-state Braves and Rickey Henderson. Cardinals pitcher Michael Wacha, the 2013 NLCS MVP, is an avid collector from way back and one laid-back dude.
Indeed, you can learn a lot about baseball’s biggest names by spending a few days on the road with them conducting autograph sessions, Twitter Q&As, video interviews and special episodes of Panini Unwrapped in the uniquely intimate setting of the #PaniniSpringTrainingRoadTrip.
After beginning the inaugural event in Stuart, Fla., on Tuesday, the Road Trip moved to Ft. Myers on Wednesday. Today, the Panini America team — Tone Stakes, David Sharp, Micah Layton, and Sean Trawick — will make the two-hour drive north to Tampa to finish the first leg of the Road Trip before moving to Arizona next week. Through the first two days, Road Trip attendees have included Napoli, Wacha, Buxton, Wilmer Flores, Travis D’Arnaud, Juan Centeno, Wilfredo Tovar, Carlos Martinez, Oscar Taveras, Kolton Wong, Josmil Pinto, Kris Johnson and Enny Romero.
The gallery below details just some of the action from the first two days. Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of the Panini Spring Training Road Trip, including must-see interviews and 2014 Donruss Baseball box breaks with Wacha, Buxton, Napoli and more.

Love it! Any announcement on the approximate release date for 2014 Prizm? I’m dying to crack some open.
Byron Buxton looked “Thriled” to be there! Hmm…Loads of potential…Limited Autographs…Could be a hard one to get as his fame grows!
That is awesome, hope you guys are enjoying the trip and not all nose to the grindstone 😉
Nice gallery capturing the signings, definitely looking forward to seeing some of the players break and analyze the new product. Thanks Tracy!
Always love the nonstop behind the scenes that only Panini offers!
