Cobi Jones, Claudio Suarez Star in Debut of Panini 2014 FIFA World Cup Mobile Tour

April 8, 2014

Panini America 2014 FIFA World Cup Mobile Tour 23

During a sun-soaked weekend at L.A. Live in the shadows of the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Panini America, with a few titanic assists from soccer legends Cobi Jones and Claudio Suarez, launched its three-month mobile tour in support of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Sticker Collection. On a weekend full of fun and firsts, Panini America officials engaged thousands of World Cup fans with interactive games, face time with the aforementioned World Cup legends and a grand unveiling of the company’s instant-classic World Cup van.

Everyone who stopped by the sprawling — and unmistakably “Panini” — L.A. Live setup received a free 2014 FIFA World Cup Sticker Album and a free customized sticker sheet. Fans who were crafty or lucky enough to score a goal on the huge Panini inflatable also walked away with a sweet Panini World Cup T-shirt.

The weekend made for a smashing start to a tour that will also make stops in San Diego, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, Atlanta, New York City, Charlotte, N.C., and Washington, D.C. between now and early July. In the gallery that follows, you’ll get a feel for what to expect when the tour visits near you. Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance and the Panini America Twitter account for updates on the 2014 Panini World Cup Mobile Tour, including a must-see video montage of an action-packed first week.

Too bad you are not coming to the Pacific Northwest. Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver are soccer crazy!

Man, that is cool. Reminds me of Falconfest in Atlanta. I like to take my girls to the “pregame” activities and they have a great time running through obstacles, doing skills, etc…. Awesome, Panini.

Does anyone know the details of the event for Charlotte, NC on 6/20 – 6/22?

    • June 20, 2014 1:34 pm

In Charlotte, we are going to be at a Kick It Soccer Tournament this Saturday at Crestdale Middle School (940 Sam Newell Rd, Matthews, North Carolina 28105). The event will run from 9am-2pm and we will be handing out free World Cup albums.
We don’t have any retailer events scheduled for Charlotte so if you would like to participate in our mobile tour, this is the event to attend.
