An Immaculate Intro: Panini America Starts Packout for 2014 Immaculate Baseball

September 17, 2014

Panini America 2014 Immaculate Baseball Memorabilia Magnificence Main

At this very moment (provided you’re reading this on Wednesday), Wes Elliott, Micah Layton and other members of the Panini America Product Development Team are hard at work at the production facility across town engaging in the early stages of packout for the highly anticipated 2014 Immaculate Baseball. Luckily for all of us, Elliott’s been keeping us up to date on the packout proceedings with a steady stream of emails featuring one stunning image after another.

In the gallery that follows, we are in turn sharing those images with you — partly because we want you to see what all of the Immaculate buzz is about and partly because we want you to feel like you’re right there on the production room floor with Elliott, Layton and the rest of the team.

Enjoy this early look at the memorabilia majesty that awaits when 2014 Immaculate Baseball arrives in hobby shops across North America next Wednesday. Some of the magic that you’re about to see: Game-worn wristbands, game-worn batting gloves, nameplate letters, game-used bat knobs, game-used bat-barrel nameplates and the first memorabilia cards of Jose Abreu.

Enjoy, and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance tomorrow for the world premiere reveal of 2014 Immaculate Baseball’s Jumbo Cleats insert.

Lots of jerseys, patches, swatches , cuts and pieses, even buttons. these have no autographs but they are awesome. no logos or anything. and you say you cant do hockey? To see these cards, I think someone is missing out BIG time.

This is pure trading card pornography… and I can’t wait to get me some!
I think this product, at an MSRP that is within the reach of most collectors, is what we’ve been waiting for.
Thank you for crafting an ultra high-end product that doesn’t cost more than my car payment.

These pieces look incredible!! If only you actually had the MLB license, then you could make REAL cards.

    • September 18, 2014 12:59 pm

These cards are ABSOLUTELY real. We focus on the assets we DO have — and the ability to create a product like Immaculate.

        You tell ’em Hackler!
I am really excited for the release of this product. The price point coupled with the sheer amount if fascinating mem’ promises to make this a landmark release.
Panini is setting the bar SO high, the other manufacturers will need to carry oxygen.

Most real collectors cannot stand the cropping and no logos. Nice game used but nothing worth keeping in the long run.

A “real” collector, Andrew, is defined… how, precisely?

Will there be a few boxes broke on the lance on Monday or Tuesday before Wednesday release?

    • September 22, 2014 2:10 pm

Yes, sir. We should have our boxes later today or first thing in the morning.

      • September 22, 2014 2:26 pm

        Eagerly awaiting!
This product, while perhaps not for everyone, will bring collectors closer to the game… & it’s countless fascinating artifacts, than any other I can recall.
        I haven’t been this excited to open a box of anything since… since… well… Frankly, I can’t recall.

Some of those “patches” rival the Playoff Absolute “Tools of the Trade” from years ago. Great looking stuff!

  9. September 22, 2014 7:35 pm

    Two words: CAN’T WAIT!

    Thanks Tracy!

Not having the MLB Licensing, in my own opinion, hurts this product.

I’m not a baseball collector, and I hate the lack of logos in general, but these are some of the best cards I’ve ever seen. The materials are just incredible.
