Panini Peek: 2013 Elite Football

March 17, 2013

2013 Elite Football Main

Panini America’s memorable 2012 NFL collecting season will finish with a furious bang in the next few weeks with the releases of 2012 Totally Certified Football (out Friday) followed closely by the landmark launches of 2012 Playbook Football and 2012 National Treasures Football. All the while, Panini America is setting the stage for a blockbuster 2013, too.

We’ve previewed 2013 Score Football. We’ve previewed 2013 Prestige Football. Today, we pull the curtain back on the third product of the 2013 season: 2013 Elite Football. The venerable collecting favorite will offer an updated look in 2013 that includes the return of several brand staples (such as Passing the Torch Autographs and Rookie Inscriptions) and a few new twists (such as the First & Goal insert that brings the company’s revolution memorabilia card concept to the gridiron and the new laser-cut Panini Portraits).

Each box of 2013 Elite Football (five cards per pack, 20 packs per box) will deliver four autograph or memorabilia cards (with at least two autographs guaranteed), three Rookie Cards, one Turn of the Century insert, one Passing the Torch Silver, one Zoning Commission Silver, one Primary Colors Silver, one Rookie Hard Hats and three additional inserts.

2013 Elite Football also will deliver several on-card autographs from the 2013 NFLPA Rookie Premiere and the puzzle-piece-inspired Prime Numbers insert that includes a prime memorabilia card on the left side and an autograph on the right side of every two-card player tribute.

We’ll have tons more of 2013 Elite Football to preview in the coming weeks right here on The Knight’s Lance. But for now, enjoy this special Sunday sneak peek . . .

This product looks great as always. I really appreciate the new designs, and I think the double sided auto/jsy will be hot on the secondary market. I love collecting pro bowl gear, so I am excited to see that as well. Looking forward to the 2013 season!

Nice design, that Fourth and Goal card looks awesome and obviously the Manning/Marino Passing the torch! As much Elite as I have purchased, I still have not been able to pull one of those PTT autos, they are so nice!

These cards look great. Did you guys keep the acetate cards for 2013? I really liked those in the 2012 series and thought that they were unique. Keep up the awesome work guys.

Great looking stuff but is there a place we can submit ideas for cards? Like a Patrick Willis/Navorro Bowman PTT or a Warrick Dunn/Doug Martin PTT? Those cards are so much nicer and appropriate when the players are from the same team.

i rip on you guys for the baseball, but this product looks amazing. all i ask is to have the rookies in their uniforms and not combine/practice jerseys and i’m all in. Passing the Torch is beautiful. looks like national treasures.

Nice looking cards. Especially like the Passing the Torch auto’s of the “Old” guys such as Marino. Any Cowboys?

2013 Elite looks great-I hope I can expect more veteran autos and memorabilia due to the poor rookie class. Any chance of 6-way jersey cards or die cuts in the shape of NFL Team Mascots to come in Panini’s future?
