The Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2013-14 Elite Basketball (114 Sweet Pics)

January 22, 2014

Panini America 2013-14 Elite Basketball QC (2)

One week from today, Panini America’s 2013-14 Elite Basketball — the new-season iteration of a longtime collecting favorite — returns to the hardwood boasting all of the calling-card staples that have made Elite so . . . well, elite . . . for so many years. Numbered Rookie Cards and Legends. Vibrant, rainbow-foiled Aspirations and Status die-cut parallels, Passing the Torch autographs, Throwback Threads game-worn memorabilia cards starring some of the greatest players in NBA history, Turn of the Century autographs, New Breed autograph memorabilia card rookies and so much more.

2013-14 Elite Basketball, which began shipping to hobby shops all over North America earlier this week, will deliver two autographs and two memorabilia cards in every box, not to mention some updated tweaks on traditionally strong brand elements. The Panini America NBA Product Development team spent most of Monday Quality Controlling the product, which gave us the always-welcome opportunity to preview the release in the most expansive way possible.

The following gallery showcases just some of the highlights from each of Elite’s myriad inserts and subsets. We’ll have plenty more to cover on 2013-14 Elite Basketball right here on The Knight’s Lance in the coming days. But until then, feast your eyes on this . . .

Elite is definitely a collecting favorite, and nice to see Kyrie Irving on the front of the Box.

These cards just POP! I’m someone who collects players and not sets, but man, Elite Series and the Turn of the Century Autos are just so cool that I might have to put together some sets!

Sweet cards!! High price tag but I will try to be patient for the value to go down. Anyway, I’m loving the die-cuts and serial #ed RCs!!!
