Panini America 2014-15 Paramount Basketball QC (1)

Panini America is bringing back a hobby legend this week with the release of the all-new 2014-15 Paramount Basketball. As a maiden release, Paramount as a whole will need some time to reach legendary status. It’s the velveteen technology inherent on every Paramount base card and parallel that’s the stuff of legend already. Original Dufex is back.

One of the hobby’s most-adored printing technologies of all time, Dufex storms back into the hobby after a years-long hiatus as a centerpiece of 2014-15 Paramount Basketball, which arrives in hobby shops across North America on Wednesday.

Each hobby box of 2014-15 Paramount Basketball delivers three autographs, one memorabilia card and five Dufex cards. The product also features Next Day Autographs that were acquired last summer during the 2014 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot and Original Buyback Autographs. Oh, and every autograph in the set is signed on-card.

In the gallery that follows, we provide your first extended preview of 2014-15 Paramount Basketball with a must-see look at some of the gems that surfaced during the recent Quality Control process. Enjoy the gallery and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage.

Cards like those Rookie Impression autos (with the auto’d panel set “behind” the window), while very sharp looking from afar, are often so disappointing ’cause it’s fairly common to have parts of the auto auto hidden . The Jabari Parker example looks pretty bad.

are there any stamp or hologram sticker or something on the “buy back” autographs what would authenticate the autographs?

Solid looking set, the technology provides a nice dimension to the overall design. Thanks Tracy!

Good to see a low end Flawless…. or a higher end Zenith? I’m not sure.

Is the Home & Away supposed to be pieces of jerseys from home and road jerseys? Because both examples shown show two pieces of road jersey.

Base cards are not bad looking, but aren’t super-spectacular to me. I doubt I’ll be able to afford any anyway.
