Short Report: 2016 Donruss Football and the Deceptive Scarcity of the Aqueous Test

August 23, 2016

Aqueous Test

Of the myriad parallel chases randomly meandering throughout Panini America’s 2016 Donruss Football, perhaps none is more perplexing than the mysterious Aqueous Test parallel. If the high-sheen fronts don’t stand out at first glance, the unmistakable backs — emblazoned with a prominent “AQUEOUS TEST” stamp running diagonally from the top left corner to the bottom right corner — certainly do.

But the fact that the Aqueous Test is a complete parallel set that mimics all 400 cards in the 2016 Donruss Football base set (300 veterans, 50 Rated Rookies, 50 Rookie Cards), the respective scarcity of any given Aqueous Test parallel has been underplayed in the product’s first few weeks on the market.

So as something of a public service announcement, here’s what you need to know about the print runs of each Aqueous Test parallel: There are less than 25 of each one.

That is all.

Of course Tracy gets one in their I boxing video posted a week ago! They always get a big hit! Makes me wonder what Panini does with the ‘good’ boxes…

What do the numbers “2” and “24” have in common? They are both “less than twenty – five.” Zero is also less than twenty-five.
