Soar Subject: Panini America Sits Down with Slam Dunk Sensation Zach LaVine (Video)

Panini America 2015 NBA All-Star Sunday Recap (55)

NEW YORK — Just hours after Minnesota Timberwolves rookie phenom Zach LaVine seemingly broke the Internet with a series of reality-defying dunks during Saturday night’s Sprite Slam Dunk Contest at the 2015 NBA All-Star Game, the 19-year-old high-flyer joined Panini America for his previously scheduled autograph appearance at the Modell’s Sporting Goods in Times Square.

Just as he did the night before, LaVine impressed everyone who had the opportunity to see him Sunday afternoon. With his newly won Sprite Slam Dunk Trophy occupying a place of honor on the signing table, LaVine spent quality time engaging and signing autographs for hundreds of fans and collectors who stood online for hours outside Modell’s — in sub-20-degree temperatures. Luckily, the aura surrounding LaVine was enough to keep everyone warm.

LaVine also added his suddenly-more-in-demand signature to some bona fide monster cards slated for Panini America’s upcoming 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball. But he did all of that after he sat down with us to talk about the slamming events of Saturday night in this exclusive interview that also features highlights and reaction from Panini America’s other Sunday guests Michael Carter-Williams, Trey Burke and Mason Plumlee.

Be sure to stick around after the video for a revealing selection of images recapping Sunday’s events from the 2015 NBA All-Star Game in New York.

Isn’t the LaVine logoman card was signed upside down? or the text is upside down on that card?
