Panini Peek: 2010 Panini Century Collection

October 25, 2010

In what just might be the biggest holiday blockbuster since James Cameron’s “Titanic,” 2010 Panini Century Collection launches three days before Christmas boasting a star-studded cast of celebrities ranging in scope from actors to astronaut to athletes and then some.

Century Collection carries a $200 SRP for each five-card pack/box, but each five-card pack/box consists of two autograph cards, two memorabilia cards and an additional autograph or memorabilia card. For those counting at home, that’s five autograph or memorabilia cards in every five-card pack.

The product’s impressive autograph guest list includes the likes of George Brett, Pete Rose, Stan Musial, Charles Duke, Nolan Ryan, Cal Ripken, Ryne Sandberg, Ron Turcotte and Scott Carpenter. That list is bolstered by cut autographs from legends such as Ben Hogan, Gerald Ford, Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb, Lou Gehrig and Walter Johnson.

In terms of remarkable memorable, Century Collection is steeped in the stuff, incorporating items worn by Paul “Bear” Bryant, Jim Thorpe, Joe Jackson, Marilyn Monroe, Duke Ellington and James Dean.

Enjoy the following must-see gallery and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance, the Panini America website, and our Twitter and Facebook pages for more information on 2010 Panini Century Collection.

Wow looks awesome. Might be worth the trip to either Shreveport, LA, DFW, or Houston to find me some when they’re released.

I bought a box at a show in 2012 I think the guy just wanted to get rid of them because I got it for $80 and the funny thing was he told me that he heard there were John Wayne cards but had not seen any so I opened my box right there and the sealed slab card on the bottom was a John Wayne memorabilia card with stamp #’d to 25 and the rest of my cards were great…Jimmy Stewart/ Grace Kelley dual material with stamps #’d to 250 and on and on but I don’t see them around anymore and can’t find any prices on anything???
