Must See: Routing Table Delivers First Look at 2010-11 National Treasures Basketball

May 10, 2011

So I was back in Product Development early this morning helping NFL Brand Manager Carlos Torrez and NFL acquisitions guru Joe White QC a few early retail boxes of 2011 Prestige Football (great-looking product this year, by the way).

On my way back to marketing, I passed the vaunted Panini America Routing Table and had to do a double take. Then a triple take. Right there in plain sight waiting to be proofed were a few early glimpses of 2010-11 National Treasures Basketball, nothing less than one of the most anticipated products of the entire collecting year.

I’m happy to report that the early images did not disappoint. Although most collectors will no doubt take a keen interest in the set’s vaunted Rookie Card designs, I was absolutely blown away by the ABA Legends insert shown in the gallery below.

Although a lot can change between now and when the product hits in early August, the following Routing Table reveal does provide a telling, tantalizing look at the product in these early stages of development. In addition, we’ve also provided a sneak peek at the colorful Fabric of the Game Jumbo designs slated for 2010-11 Totally Certified Basketball

Stay tuned for a full Panini Peek preview of 2010-11 National Treasures — as well as more from the quality-control process for 2011 Prestige Football — in the coming days.

Now as always, the following Routing Table caveat must be added: These are not final proofs and are subject to change throughout the production process. Still, here’s betting that I won’t be the only one double-taking glimpses at these beauties.

The Doctor J Virginia Squires card is front and center on my want list.

This preview actually got me more excited about Totally Certified than it did National Treasures. I loved the ‘Fabric of the Game’ cards in last season’s Certified, and they look outstanding this year! Kemp in the mid-’90s Sonics uni, and NVE as a Laker. I’m going to have to hunt down the Birdman FOTG after release.

National Treasures is looking clean. Rodman Bulls auto *Drool*
ABA Legends cards look awesome; I love the old school logos used on the front.

    Thanks for the previews.

I have to agree with CJ. National Treasure looks great but this got me pumped up for Certified Hoops as well. I really enjoyed collecting the retired players from the Certified FOTG football this season – Walter Payton, Namath, Bradshaw, Stabauch. I see a Mutumbo, Van Exel, Kemp and others listed above. Any chance you have a complete list of who will be in the “Fabric of the Game” set for basketball?
