Can’t Make It to The National? Then Panini America is Bringing The National to You.

August 5, 2011

ROSEMONT, Ill. — Look, we here at Panini America realize that not everyone can make it to the 32nd Annual National Sports Collectors Convention. We understand that and we sympathize with those loyal collectors who would love to be here but simply can’t be.

So we’re bringing a little bit of The National to you.

When no one was looking earlier today, I snagged a few of our highly coveted silver-foil wrapper-redemption packs that have kept the entire show buzzing since the doors first opened on Wednesday afternoon. And some lucky collectors enjoying this week’s extensive coverage of the show through The Knight’s Lance are going to win them.

All you have to do to be eligible to win a pack or two is simply comment on any of the National photos or videos we’ve posted so far — and will continue to post — this week. That’s it.

When we return to the office next week, we’ll select a fair amount of winning commenters at random and send you some of these show-stopping packs.

To make entering the contest from home as easy as possible, we’ve posted links to our National coverage so far below. We’ll add the most recent links to this list in the coming days. So sit back, enjoy the sights and sounds of the 32nd Annual National Sports Collectors Convention and leave comments to your heart’s content.

We’ll do the rest.

Thanks for reading and good luck.

I think the football hand drawn sketch cards would be the best item to win. There will be many relic cards and many autos of these guys down the line but a hand drawn sketch where can u possibly get one from??? They are rare and unique.

As always Panini is all about the collectors, I don’t see any of the other card companies doing anything for us, all they care about is making money not bringing the enjoyment of the hobby to us who matter the collectors. I have collected since I was four years old, I took a break for a couple of years because I couldn’t afford even one pack of cards, now I am older and I still love the hobby but with one change. I collect cards from the card company that has the same passion as I do for me and the hobby PANINI. Thank you guys for all you do for us and wish I could be there.

This is great! It’s the only way we, international collectors, could get a piece of the action from the Nationals there in the States. If we are eligible to join. Haha! It’s a loooong shot, but a chance, nonetheless. Thank you!

Panini does it right. Great promotions at the National.

I would like to give away a “Silver Pack” to customers who buy a box of Panini products and an additional pack to those who open a box in my store and get a redemption card. Is this possible?

The sketch cards are the coolest I agree but to have a chance to open any wrapper redemption would be a rush. Thanks again and travel safe. Marty in COLORADO

I was living in Chicago when I first started collecting NBA cards seriously (97-98 season). I went to the National that year (also held at Rosemont) with my nephew who was 11 at the time(and who’s responsible for me getting into collecting as an adult). I was such a new collector myself that I couldn’t appreciate the size and scope of the show. I’d love be able to get to another National now that I have been a hard-core collector since. Wish I were there.
