The Quality Control Gallery: 44 Must-See Images from 2011 Panini Threads Football

August 15, 2011

While I was still trying to come to grips with the fact that it was Monday morning all over again, Panini America NFL Brand Manager Carlos Torrez earlier today was across town at our printing facility carefully scrutinizing the first few 2011 Panini Threads Football cases rolling off the line.

Thankfully, Torrez procured a vast assortment of hits from those first two cases for the following gallery.

As you’ll see, 2011 Panini Threads lives up to its name by delivering a bevy of memorabilia-laden inserts while also encompasses some fresh new designs (such as Star Factor, which was inspired by a jersey the legendary Ernie Davis wore during a college all-star game in the late 1960s). You’ll also notice the throwback allure of Gridiron Kings (including framed, autograph and memorabilia versions) and the autographed Rookie Class letters that have become something of a Threads staple.

The product will be live everywhere next week. Until then, you can get your fill with the eye candy that follows.

Hey Tracy, could you check for me and see if there will be any Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady autos on the checklist anywhere? Thanks bro. Cant wait to bust a few boxes by the way!

Love the Anthony Castonzo rookie card. He deserves some glory as he will have the hardest job in the NFL. Being expected to block for a top QB of all time is not an easy task by no means.

Love the Calvin Johnson!!! Wow!! That is a sweet card!! Would be nice in anyones collections!! The Letter sigs are always my favorite. I never ever seem to pull one though!! Even when they sometimes are supposed to be one per box. I seem to get other stuff. I know a lot of people dont like the company made letter patches to be signed on but i would take those anyday over a on card sig.

Tracy I just seen the Julio Jones give away over on the Beckett trading forums…..SHWEEET.

But about the product, I must say this is my favorite Panini product of the year, thus far anyway.

Already a couple products on the calander that I want to bust so bad I am trying to save my Book money and get my school books off craigslist!!!! haha

I just LOVEE pulling vet/legend autos as opposed to rookie autos.
May dip into the savings for a few boxes of this!!
    Keep us updated!

The Tolbert and Cutler base cards are cool. A very different look from the other Panini sets this year.

I am a big fan of the All Rookie team cards, the jersey background add a cool texture.
