Previewing the Sickness to Come in 2011 Absolute Memorabilia, Certified Football

September 12, 2011

A funny thing happened on my way to documenting the packout process for 2011 Timeless Treasures Football at the Panini America printing facility earlier today: I got ambushed by the memorabilia-card brilliance of 2011 Absolute Memorabilia Football and 2011 Certified Football.

Not to worry. I plan on posting plenty of images tomorrow highlighting the quality time I spent with Timeless Treasures. But today, this space is reserved for a selection of spectacular — and, in some cases, filthy — Tools of the Trade and War Room cards that are sure to drop as many jaws now as they will when they’re pulled from packs when Absolute hits at the end of the month.

A bit of a warning: These images may cause some viewers to become light-headed. We recommend you take a seat before viewing. (In light of yesterday’s otherworldly performance from Cam Newton, you may find the Newton cards in the following gallery particularly dizzying.)

It’s really nice to see local guys like Fred Jackson and Cortland Finnegan get high-end cards. If you ever get a chance ** cough ** BART SCOTT ** cough **. Nicely done.

I know. I think there’s a problem with WordPress. Extremely frustrating. I’ve got a message into them. Hopefully, they get the issue rectified soon.

    Those giant patches are sweet…

Do you know yet which product will be the first to include common cards that will have the players that switched teams in their new uniforms (Chad Johnson in a Patriots uniform for example)? I know it takes a while to get them produced…just curious. Thanks.

Just heard from WordPress. The problem was a glitch on their side but it should be fixed now.

Hey Tracy, Haven’t commented in awhile. These look good!

Question though. With the push back on the release of Timeless Treasures, Will Absolute still be releasing on time? Right now both release dates are set for the same day, Sept. 28th?

Let me know please so I can figure out my pre-orders

    • September 12, 2011 7:47 pm

Hope you’re well, Ryan. Timeless Treasures releases August 21. Followed by Absolute on the August 28.

Wow! What was I thinking? Yes, September 21 and September 28. My apologies.

Sorry. Just passed out onto the floor after first glance. I meant wow! Those patches used are incredible. The Cam newton makes me want to jump out of my seat. Certified is always one of my favorites. Freshman fabrics are so sweet! Love the jumbo sized jerseys and patches. VEry nice tRacy. Thanks for sharing. I am still having trouble typing from looking at these.

Panini is upping the ante when it comes to your “game/event worn jersey” cards. Wow. That Certified card of Cam is nearly as impressive as his on the field performance from Sunday.

Awesome, I am looking forward to Absolute! Hoping to grab a box of Amazon.com, they only stock a case or so and sell out pretty quickly. I am a big fan of Patches, and these patches are HUGE!
