Black Friday Update: Tim Tebow Autographs Added, Preliminary Dealer List Released

November 20, 2011

Just when you think Panini America’s upcoming Black Friday national wrapper-redemption program can’t possibly get more exciting, it does. With most of the country watching NFL action on another glorious Sunday, Panini America officials announced that they have added on-card autographs from Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow to the program.

Tebow signed copies of two special cards for inclusion in Black Friday: His Pink Breast Cancer Awareness card from the upcoming 2011 Gridiron Gear Football release and the “Everything In Between” card Panini America produced for inclusion in specially marked copies of Tebow’s new documentary DVD.

Panini America also released the preliminary list of dealers who will be participating in Black Friday when the promotion kicks off on Friday. You can get your first look at the special Tebow cards and access the participating dealer list below.

Were the winners of the “Everything In Between” favorite moment contest on facebook contacted? It just seems odd that theres no mention anywhere of anyone winning… even if there were only a few winners.

    • November 21, 2011 4:41 pm

Yes, sir. All winners have been contacted and many have already received their special autograph cards.

It’s not up to Panini if Canada gets these packs or not. It’s up to your Local Card Shops to order certain NFL products from there distributors to get these packs if I understand the system correctly. I live 10 minutes from the border and Canadians are always at my LCS for the past 5 years, never seen them buy anything but hockey. Not saying some of you don’t collect football cards but I’m sure there’s not many.

Tracy, I hope you guys have some dummy cards in these packs as word is you can defiantly tell which ones have pylon cards. Just hope there isn’t to many greedy people. I know it’s nice to show off the hits but maybe this would have been better a surprise for your customers so the greedy minds didn’t start going to work to scam the system.

Besides that, I love the idea and it looks like you guys did a great job on these with awesome hits, Stuff like this gives me hope in you guys connecting with your customers more…. Thank You!

Ryan, it’s something we discussed and we anxiously await collectors feedback on the topic on Friday. Much like the comments about dealers selling the packs, we will be closely monitoring the situation and anything fishy reported will ensure some will not be invited back.

This is a valid point and we will continue to perfect this program as we go, but at the end of the day we have to be able to trust our business partners to do right by the end consumer.

Thank you Scott. We do appreciate you keeping us updated with concerns we have.

I’m sure you guys will learn a lot from this promotion and I hope you continue to do things like this for us. It’s making the collecting community feel appreciated. Somehow that has gotten lost by other companys….
