Stacked Lineup: Top Autos Still Arriving for New Panini America Baseball Releases

December 1, 2011

Nary a game has been played, yet it’s been a banner week for new baseball products here at Panini America HQ as the steady stream of on-card-autograph arrivals slated for 2011 Donruss Elite Extra Edition and 2011 Playoff Contenders has intensified considerably.

Among the heavy-hitters that have returned their cards so far this week are top picks from the 2011 MLB Draft such as Gerrit Cole (No. 1 overall), Dylan Bundy (No. 4 overall), Archie Bradley (No. 7 overall), Francisco Lindor (No. 8 overall) and Cory Spangenberg (No. 10 overall).

You can preview their penmanship in the gallery below. And stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance. If we keep having baseball mail days like the ones we’ve had this week, we’ll be doing another gallery soon.

They look incredible!! Can’t wait to see another gallery. Gerrit Cole is a great player for this autograph lineup. Top pick. Can’t go wrong seeing him on a contenders auto card.

I don’t want to see ANY redemptions in this product. Got that?! GOOD!

Love Elite Extra Edition the more I see it. And I love the wood grain on the Contenders. Looks solid.

Love the design of Contenders. The uncluttered space really sets-off the autograph as opposed to the EEE issues, where the ‘graphs kind of seem trapped between the “Elite” logo and the players picture. The auto Lineups are really strong, however. Will there be an auto-jersey insert by any chance, as there is in Contenders Football?

Thanks for the update Tracy, any news on veteran players who Panini has under contract to sign and/or send materials? I’m not a big prospect guy but those look like some great cards!

Tracy, will you be releasing a list of the autographs/ inserts for the Playoff Contenders? Im interested in what Blue Jays players made the cut.

Rookie prospectors have always had Bowman to rely upon… and little else. Tristar and some other smaller companies and products (USA Basbeall) have tried to make in-roads into this niche, but the card values plummet once Bowman releases a certified auto.
Panini, however, offers product quality and corporate pedigree that will absolutely alter the prospecting landscape. The strong checklist, including cats that are coming up quickly, like Leonys Martin, bolster an already promising product.
Best of all, unlike Bowman which offers collectors 1 auto per box, 4 or more. And the hits just keep on comin’!

not really a prospect guy but contenders is one of the top products for them and cool parallel autos every year always look good…
