Blake Griffin Gets the Preferred Treatment in Weekend Panini America Signing

January 16, 2012

While Panini America acquisitions specialist Ivory Tabb kicked off her cross-country 2011 Preferred Basketball signing spree right here in Dallas, Panini Authentic’s Brian Bayne headed west to Los Angeles for some superstar signing sessions on his own.

First on his guest list: The incomparable Blake Griffin, a Panini America-exclusive athlete, and teammate Eric Bledsoe. We’ve heard rumors that Bayne might just sit down with Kobe Bryant on this West Coast swing, too. Stay tuned for details there. But until then, enjoy these exclusive images featuring some of the first hard-signed 2011 Preferred Basketball cards on the planet.

Some really great looking cards there, Blake was a good sport in those videos. Did he comment on his new teammate CP3?

Loving the Silhouette piece and the fact that Griffin actually signs his name! After seeing several of Derrick Favors’s sigs’, the labor-intensive “DF” he scrawls on his issues, I refused to purchase his cards. Being able to actually make out a letter or 3 is a must for me.

Put a few of those beautiful Griffin autographs in the case on the way to Valley Sports Cards in Tarzana! Can’t wait for the 11/12 lineup from Panini.

Wow!! Blake Griffin rocks. Even though technically I am a Knicks fan, he has brought excitment back to basketball and has raised my interest a little again in collecting basketball cards. Sweet looking stuff Panini!
