New Arrivals Help 2011 National Treasures, Prime Signatures, Playbook Take Shape
Yes, the 2012 NFL Draft is next month. Yes, chatter about free agency and the official start of the 2012 NFL calendar year and Peyton Manning is dominating sports talk these days. But Panini America is not quite ready to say “good bye” to the terrific 2011 season just yet.
In the next several weeks, Panini America will close its season on a high with a trio of blockbuster releases: 2011 Playbook, 2011 National Treasures and 2011 Prime Signatures.
Late last week, the Panini America Acquisitions Department was on the receiving end of some of the season’s sweetest on-card arrivals, a drool-worthy selection of rookie-laced autographs from the likes of Mark Ingram, Andy Dalton, Von Miller and more that will likely be among the most coveted Rookie Cards of the year.
The following gallery details just some of the goods as they appeared before being whisked carefully across town to the Panini America production facility to be packed out.

They look great. But don’t you and the rest of card makers think your killing the market with so many autographs and sub sets? Kids can’t offered the high price of these cards. Value isn’t as strong as once was. And Beckett is $10 now thanks with 15 sub sets from each card maker. And think it used to b $2 for a Beckett not long ago!
Supply and demand dictates value, as do the various markets. No offense to Beckett, but their prices rarely represent the market-price of a given issue. eBay closed-auction pricing sets the bar…even at shows. The vendor may use “High” and “low book” to set the initial price, but that rarely sticks.
I, for one, am thrilled that Panini and others are bringing me the autos I seek, a way of getting closer to the player. Market saturation is a concern, but not like it was in the late-80’s thru mid-90’s. Premium issues of high-dollar players, and high-ceiling rookie cards, will continue to command premium prices.
This product, certainly out of my reach, is arguably contains the most sought-after rookie cards in the hobby. It’s a magnificent product.

Would like to see more information on the Prime Signatures lineup! I like the look of the card. It makes the signatures really stand out.
Any word on a checklist for the Playbook release? Really interested to see what cards are going to be included.
