Panini America 2012 Prizm Football Prizms & Inserts (12)

The countdown to 2012 Prizm Football is no longer a countdown at all. It’s blossomed into a full-blown frenzy thanks in large part to yesterday’s Quality Control Gallery that offered the first live glimpses of the highly anticipated new product. Here at The Knight’s Lance, we promise to do our level best to continue increasing the pre-release hype with a selection of galleries leading up to next Wednesday’s launch date.

Today, we’re bringing you a sterling selection of new gems that surfaced during last week’s QC process, most notably some of the sweet base inserts and a collection-making cache of Prizm, Gold Prizm and Red Prizm Die-Cut parallels.

In the next few days, we’ll bring you up close and personal with some of 2012 Prizm Football’s autographs and Rookie Cards, including some insight into the product’s one-per-box RC photo variations. But for now, feast your eyes on these beauties . . .

They never release checklists more than a day or two before the product hits shelves. I don’t know why either. It’s just a way to see what you’re aiming for, but they never release them…

Randy Moss Brilliance and Prizm, Alan Page Prizim, Peterson Gold Prizm, I like it. I think this is the best gallery you have ever put up;). Could you please take down the Peterson gold though, I can’t stop staring at it, lol.

That Adrian Peterson is hot! Tracy you said gold prizms will be in retail too? That’s awesome that these rare inserts are in retail also-just hope Prizm hits shelves in Walmarts, not just Targets considering the nearest Target is 2 hours away as well as the nearest card shop. Thanks again for showing us outstanding previews!

Just curious. Some companies and/or products are available at retail first (like Crown Royale). Prizm will be the reverse with hobby first and then retail. Is there a reason one way or the other why one product comes out first retail and another hobby? Just wondering. Looking forward to prizm very much!!

    • January 23, 2013 12:06 pm

Good question, Keith. In most cases, our hobby products will hit and then retail will follow suit a week to 10 days later. We have, on occasion, held hobby for a few days after retail in an effort to get as many live autographs in product as possible.

      • January 23, 2013 1:38 pm

        Thanks. Always wondered about that.

Tracy I was wondering where one would send a damaged Panini card that they pulled fresh from a pack/box?

Awesome cards, and I love the spread of players you guys put into this product. I’m digging this product alot,a nd want many of the Cowboys I’ve seen above. I heard somewhere the green’s would be numbered in football? I know their not in B-Ball, so just wanted to confirm. One last question, does Mo Caliborne have red inserts cards and autos in this? I follow him bigtime and need to know. Thanks and keep up the good work.

    • January 23, 2013 4:05 pm

The Greens will not be numbered. But you’ll be happy to know that Claiborne will have both autographs and Red die-cuts in the set.

Funny that the cover image would be an Elway -_^ . They look phenomenal, it would be great to see an interview with someone like Elway to see what the thinks of modern day cards when compared to the ones from back in the day!
