MANDEVILLE, La. — On Thursday evening inside the cozy confines of Chuck’s Sports Cards, north of New Orleans just over the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, 2012 Rookie of the Year candidate and Panini Authentic exclusive Andrew Luck delivered yet one more memorable performance for football fans during his first public autograph signing.

During the hour-long special event held in conjunction with this week’s Super Bowl XLVII festivities, Luck showcased his spectacular, fan-first personality that likely earned a healthy new contingent of Indianapolis Colts diehards deep in the heart of Saints country. Luck was engaging, warm and accommodating throughout the signing, and was nice enough to stick around afterward to bust a box of 2012 Prizm Football.

We’ll have more on that must-see episode of Panini Unwrapped later. For now, though, enjoy this fascinating video that takes you behind the scenes at Luck’s first public signing, including up-close looks at some rather historic game-worn and game-used memorabilia from Luck’s fantastic rookie season. After the video, stick around for a captivating gallery of images from the event, too.

Now, here’s the gallery . . .

WOW! Very cool guy! I am just stunned that so many kids were there at $125.00 min per autograph! The Kid with the painting was cool though!

This guy seems real down to earth. When do they announce R. O. Y. After the Super Bowl?

GREAT video guys! Andrew seems like a very nice person, conscious of the collectors and fans who spent the time waiting for their opportunity to meet him. I’d love to get that same chance some day! Thanks Tracy!

A very telling thing…..Andrew took the time to dap the markers to make sure that the ink was flowing. Not a lot of athletes would do that. Tells me that he wanted to be there and represent positively. Good stuff.

That’s truly a once in a life time experience-I wonder how much the signing fee was…

Very cool love that the whole process was Panini Authentic verified as he went! He seems like such a great guy very open with the fans. Its great how Andrew endeavors to have a conversation with everyone that comes through, class act all the way! 2:03 in is the defenition of someone NOT being ninja (we saw ya scotty). Love the shenanigans at the end!

I saw a guy bring in a Limited Edition Luck poster, it was amazing! Does anyone happen to have a picture of it? I’d pay top dollar for it.
