Panini America 2014 NFL Draft Packs Main

Being the exclusive trading card of the NFL Draft has its advantages, something Panini America officials, fans and collectors have experienced firsthand for several years. And when tonight’s first round of the 2014 NFL Draft kicks off from historic Radio City Music Hall, you can count on Panini America being right there in the middle of the action capturing compelling content from the highest-profile rookies that will drive NFL trading card sales in 2014 and beyond.

While we can’t reveal everything we’ll be doing tonight, we can tell you this: NFL fans and members of the media covering tonight’s NFL Draft are receiving a unique sneak peek at special versions of 2014 Score Football Rookie Cards featuring six top prospects, including Jadeveon Clowney, Johnny ManzielBlake Bortles and Sammy Watkins.

Panini America officials have created special six-card packs of 2014 NFL Draft cards that include five random cards from the company’s 2013 NFL product roster and one Draft-exclusive Rookie Card preview. The Rookie Cards showcase the bold 2014 Score Football redesign but feature different photographs from those that will appear in the first NFL- and NFLPA-licensed trading card release of the new season: 2014 Score Football that launches in early June.

The 2014 NFL Draft packs are being distributed in fan goodie bags and press kits.

“Panini America Rookie Cards are a vibrant, vital part of the NFL Draft process, and we wanted to share the intense excitement and anticipation surrounding the 2014 NFL Draft in particular by previewing some key cards from this year’s most high-profile rookies,” said Jason Howarth, Panini America’s Vice President of Marketing. “For NFL Draft participants, getting your first NFL trading card is one of those defining moments and an affirmation of the players’ accomplishments once their name is called.”

You can check out the six Rookie Cards being previewed tonight in the gallery below.

As part of Panini America’s NFL Draft activation, company officials will also be live tweeting images of each Draft Pick’s 2014 Score Rookie Card as soon as they are drafted. You can see all of them in real-time tonight by following Panini America on Twitter and the hashtag #ScoreRookie.

And stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance later today for Panini America’s second annual Collectible Mock Draft featuring football-card insight from Panini America executives and Product Development personnel.

Excited to try a few boxes of 2014 Score Football! Since they release on the same day – can you post updates to the Panini Rewards Program? What will it look like, how will it work, can we get our point balances ahead of time? Thanks!

Great promotion, I bet these will fetch big interest in the hobby once they go live as they will be the first officially licensed cards of many of these players. Thanks Tracy!
