Panini America 2013-14 National Treasures Hockey Packout Begins (4)

The notoriously torrid Texas summer reared its gnarly teeth on Saturday afternoon with a high temperature of 102 degrees on a day when humidity made it feel like a balmy 105. The crazy part, though? It was even hotter inside the Panini America production facility, where Chris BarrMatt Davis and Jim Stefano were giving 2013-14 National Treasures Hockey the white-glove treatment during the early stages of packout for that highly anticipated release.

I stopped by to capture as many drool-inducing images of 2013-14 National Treasures Hockey as I could. In the process, I got a firsthand look at a juggernaut of a product that honors the NHL’s past, present and future like only National Treasures can. Over the course of the next few weeks, we’ll share just some of the highlights right here on The Knight’s Lance.

We begin today with some of National Treasures’ spectacular autograph and autograph memorabilia inclusions, featuring the Notable Nicknames and Treasured Trophies inserts as well as a vast and varied examination of the product’s rich Rookie Card content (NHL Shields, anyone?).

Enjoy this early sneak peek and stay tuned. There’s plenty more to come.

Where’s the Mac? I love the extra touch with the acetate fronts on the RPAs. Helps make the RPAs from this product stand out over the RPAs from the other products. Can you tell the hockey product team to send the memo over the the football and basketball product teams please? Thanks

Are those all star autos signed on rubber? They look sweet.

This will be a perfect way to end the relationship with the NHL. Excellent! Is the rookie memorabilia in the product game used or event worn?

I have yet to see any of the Lightning’s top rc’s ? In Prime you had Killorn and Panik. But nothing of Gudas , Johnson, or Palat why????????? Palat and Johnson were 2-3 in Calder voting .
