Panini America Eyes the Jumbo Juiciness of 2013-14 Flawless Basketball (Gallery)

Panini America 2013-14 Flawless Basketball Jumbo Memorabilia Main 3

During these final furious stages of Panini America’s 2013-14 NBA product season, all eyes have settled on one product and one product only: 2013-14 Flawless Basketball. At this very moment, members of the Panini America Basketball Product Development Team are hard at work at the production facility across town giving 2013-14 Flawless Basketball the white-glove, hand-packout treatment (literally, they’re wearing white gloves).

I got the immensely enjoyable opportunity to venture over to the production facility earlier this week to document some of the proceedings and came back with enough buzz-worthy images to help collectors pass the time until the product’s October 1 release date. For today’s Flawless Friday update, we’re going to focus on some of the filthy, multicolored jumbo memorabilia showcased in the product.

We’ll follow up in the coming days with extended looks at the product’s precious-gem (diamond, emeralds, rubies and sapphires) and on-card autograph content. Today, though, is all about the memorabilia majesty. Enjoy.

No logomans for this product right? If these jumbo patch were autoed would be sick…hopefully each briefcase will have 2 to 4 solid hits….for the price point if 3600/case

Wow….more beautiful cards that ONLY the rich can enjoy! Great job thinking of the REAL collectors, not the flippers. That`s why I quit buying NBA altogether

Appreciate the feedback, Mike. We’d like to think that we have attractive cards at a full range of price points — not just on the high-end stuff. We put as much passion into a product like NBA Hoops as we do a product like Flawless.

I think what hes getting at is that at the price point, most of the buyers of the product will be overseas and flippers that open and sell the contents rather than collectors that buy the cards looking to keep them.

I think the product looks a bit to basic and sterile. Solid white background with a photo laid over it just lacks any real style. There’s a lot of white space on the card that to me just isn’t attractive to look at. Patches are insane, but when you compare a product like flawless whose jumbo patches are much better designed and also bigger patch windows I think its hard to justify the price point.

exactly wade, that price for a box of cards? Not only that, but you used to be able to get similar patches in a med range box of cards, but just like what`s happening to the kids that get frustrated buying packs and come away with not much, the people who buy boxes at 100-200 are begininng to come away with nothing either. If I have to spend 500+ to get quality patches it`s just not worth it. The hobby is becoming more about breaking cases and selling everything asap instead of collecting. Also Tracy I don`t question for one second the passion that everyone at Panini has for cards, and I love just about everything you guys produce,

Very nice, but already inserting LBJ in a Cavs uni? No previews of the Champion Spurs?

Super impressive prime oversized mem cards here, very nice addition to an already stacked product. Thanks Tracy!
