Panini America Brings Footballs from NFL’s 9-11 Tribute Games to Father’s Day Promo
The opening weekend of the 2011 NFL season was more special and emotional than normal. It was a weekend full of patriotism and reflection, a weekend when the league and its players observed the 10th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks.
It was a remarkable tribute to the honor, sacrifice and fighting spirit of an entire country in the face of that tragedy, and a resounding way to start the 2011 season. Now, Panini America has a resounding way for collectors and fans to remember that weekend.
Company officials acquired several footballs used during the NFL’s 9-11 Tribute games last season to create a unique insert for this weekend’s Panini America 2012 Father’s Day Promotion set, including a powerful, patriotic design, player photography from those games and photos of the footballs intact on the backs of the cards.
The set also includes rare autographed versions of some players.

How do u get packs for the Father’s Day Promotion?
Great looking subset, are there going to be some sort of dummy cards in the packs that don’t have the hits this time around so they aren’t as obvious as the Black Friday packs? If memory serves I saw some up on ebay advertised as “thick” and “thin” packs in the days after the promotion. Thanks Tracy!
Yes, sir. There are decoy cards in Father’s Day.
Excellent news on decoys! We had to resort last year to having customers pick a number (Example 34) and we gave them the 34th pack we came to in teh stack then would reshuffle the stack.
These 9/11 cards are awesome, remember the fact that there are people out there willing to make the ultimate sacrifice so we can collect sports cards and do anything else (within reason) we want to do.

There are autograph cards in there of Rivers, Gates and Tolbert.

Sucks for people that dont have a LCS near them. Would love to get a few of these since I was stationed over in Germany when 9/11 happened….looks like ill be looking out for them on ebay or trade for some…nice promo!!

Hey Tracy my local dealer said the promotion packs are only given away with certain Panini Products. I was told they would be given away only on purchases of Totally Certified, Timeless Treasures, Limited, & Prime Signatures. Is this just a local thing?
Each dealer might handle the redemption differently depending upon their unique inventory situations.
