Panini America’s 2013 National RC Checklist Includes Yasiel Puig, Top NBA Draft Picks

July 12, 2013

Panini America 2013 National Convention RC 18

As Panini America officials continue putting the final furious touches on the company’s grand plans for the upcoming 2013 National Sports Collectors Convention, today comes a must-see sneak peek of the numbered Rookie Cards sure to deliver a sonic-size boom on the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center floor throughout the five-day show that begins July 31.

Among the 23 Rookie Cards that will bolster Panini America’s 2013 National base set are the company’s first numbered RCs of Los Angeles Dodgers’ phenomenon Yasiel Puig, the first numbered RCs of the heralded NHL Double Rookie Class and the first numbered RCs of the top four players selected in the recent 2013 NBA Draft.

Panini America’s base 2013 National Rookie Cards (featuring top young talent from baseball, basketball, football and hockey) will be numbered to 499; in addition, each will be paralleled by scarce Cracked Ice versions and Progressions cards limited to just five copies of four different colors.

We’ve provided each of the 23 Rookie Cards in all of their glory in the gallery below. We hope you like what you see, and we encourage you to stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of our 2013 NSCC plans.

Love the cap-cropping on the Noel RC (understandable). Love the inclusion of Puig. Looking forward to any potential online ordering from Panini enabling those not attending the national to be able to obtain some packs.

Man im so excited for Nationals, how do we get the cards above? Do we have to buy a certain amount of product?

They’re part of our wrapper-redemption program. Buy select Panini America products on the floor, bring them to our booth to open them and we’ll give you the equivalent number of two-card wrapper-redemption packs.

Great looking set and even better player selection. With these RCs, that brings the set to 70 cards, which is the biggest Panini National set yet. Other than the RCs, Base set, Team Colors and Kings, will there be anymore cards to the set?

In terms of base cards and base inserts, no. But in terms of autographs and memorabilia cards, yes! Stay tuned!
