Must-See Gallery: Panini America Launches Packout for 2012-13 Prime Hockey (Part 1)

August 14, 2013

Panini America 2012-13 Prime Hockey Primer Main

The countdown to arguably the most anticipated NHL trading card release of the 2012-13 collecting season is officially underway. The pre-packout quality control check has been completed. The hand-collating is all but done. In the next few days, the cards will begin being delicately placed into their gorgeous blue boxes and shipped to hobby shops across North America.

Hockey collectors, rejoice: 2012-13 Prime Hockey is coming. And in advance of the product’s August 28 release date, The Knight’s Lance is planning a series of jaw-dropping, drool-inducing preview galleries documenting the massive release known for mammoth memorabilia, must-have Rookie Cards and the game’s greatest legends.

An impromptu trip to the Panini America production facility yesterday morning provided enough arresting Prime visuals to last at least two or three more galleries. We’ll begin with today’s, which includes a tip-of-the-ice-rink teaser featuring a little bit of everything.

Enjoy, and stay tuned for additional galleries in the coming days as the countdown to 2012-13 Prime Hockey continues.

Those rookie patch cards are ridiculous – I don’t have the kind of hobby budget where I can buy Limited and Prime willy nilly, but you’ve sold me on at least one box. Just gorgeous.

To paraphrase Corey Crawford’s championship rally speech, these cards are the biggest bunch of beauties around.

So no Dominion product this year Tracy?

Not a stand-alone product for 2012-13. Prime will have special Dominion packs, though.

I figured that was the case, just wanted to make sure. Thank you for the response Tracy.

Not sure how you did it but I think you just topped Prime from last year. Unbelievable looking cards. can’t wait to crack open a couple boxes. If I had the cash I would be buying a case of this stuff.

Really good job with this set, it targets some of the most desired cards in the hobby and puts them all in one product. Thanks Tracy!

WOW!.. To be 100% honest I thought last years Prime would be garbage.. After 8 cases I wished I would have pre-ordered. I will not make that mistake this year! I have many cases locked in. These cards are downright everything I would expect.. then blow away by miles. The Cup will not get any of my money this year.
