September 16, 2013

2013 Certified Football Teaser Gallery (2)

The newest rendition of one of football collecting’s most anticipated products every season — Panini America’s Certified Football — is on the verge of release once again. And when 2013 Certified Football arrives in hobby shops on Wednesday, it will deliver all of the shimmering assets hardcore brand loyalists have come to expect.

A resplendent rainbow of Mirror parallels, Freshman Fabric autograph memorabilia cards, New Generation numbered RCs, Immortals numbered subset cards and colorful, low-numbered memorabilia parallels of all of that.

To properly prepare collectors for what to expect from 2013 Certified Football later this week, we just had the distinct pleasure of busting two early boxes of the product. The following Teaser Gallery takes you pack-by-pack through those two boxes. Enjoy, and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance later this week for additional coverage of the product.

Awesome DJ Hayden! I’m liking the look of these. One thing though, can you find a new photo of DJ Hayden? I swear this is the same photo that has been used in all of your releases now!

All of Panini’s football products have made a step or two in the direction of recreating and upgrading on last years design. A very nice product as always!

Again these players autos look aweful. I can’t blame anyone though. It’s not the player’s fault when you’re signing thousands of autos you start caring less of how it looks. And it’s not the manufactures who want to offer more autos. It’s just a shame we get a letter with a squiggly line as an auto.

Mike, absolutely agree. There have been beautiful cards that I have refused to purchase because the signature bears more resemblance to a curly hair than it does an athlete’s name. But then you have guys like Mariano Rivera, whose auto… on EVERY issue, is magnificent with every letter clear.

But clearly you’re correct, signing a few hundred autos at a shot is bound to make a hand cramp…& cause the entire card to suffer. I’m not sure there’s an answer.

Not bad overall, some of the big rookie names for this class in there. The mirror gold looks better than ever in my opinion. Thanks Tracy!

Certified is by far my favorite Panini product. I’m hoping there’s going to be a scavenger hunt for some boxes of these. I would love to pul a 1/1 shield!
