Chapter One: Panini America Provides Early Review of 2013 Playbook Football Booklets

October 8, 2013

Panini America 2013 Playbook Football First Booklets Main 2

From the day it was first previewed right here on The Knight’s Lance in early July, Panini America’s 2013 Playbook Football has spent almost three solid months generating the kind of mouth-watering anticipation typically reserved for precious few elite products. Indeed, it was obvious to collectors from that very first glimpse that the third installment of Playbook had the potential to go down as the best one yet.

After seeing the early results from the Quality Control process this week, one thing has become voluminously clear: The intense pre-release buzz for 2013 Playbook Football is warranted. Boasting a bevy of new booklet variations, the addition of veteran booklets and the rich innovation of Down & Dirty Booklets, Flywire Booklets and player-drawn, play-diagram one of ones, the product is destined to be a nationwide best-seller.

Over the next few days, we’ll have a page-turning parade of previews, including this gallery detailing just some of the booklet possibilities. In the coming days leading up to Friday’s official release date, we’ll bring you exclusive video of the two-case Quality Control process and the making of Alfred Morris’ filthy Down & Dirty Booklet.

Enjoy the gallery and stay tuned all week long for more.

Hey Tracy, is there a reason why you guys won’t put out an official checklist the week before release? A lot of us buy into group breaks, it would be nice to see what the hit possibilities are for each team before plunking down a bunch of money. thanks

By far my favorite Panini product!! I LOVED last year’s Playbook (even though the Packers books were sparse because of their defensive draft), and am looking forward to getting a Lacy or Franklin book, or both! Now, are you going to do a picture search contest for this product? If so, I’m IN!

I don’t know if Im a fan of the players autographs on the acetate insert. I just feel as thought the auto would stick better to a nice shiny piece of white paper in there. The Acetate tends to looked smeared in these pictures. Im hoping my teams cards turned out well, and that some of players will start putting effort into autos. I mean you guys pay them to sign for you, and then in return give you a two letter autograph. Like Christine Michael, his auto looks so cheap and horrible. Glad I dont collect him. Escobar’s looks pretty good, any word on Terrance Williams being live in this product Tracy? I hope he is, he is gonna be a stud in this league for a long time. Dont even miss Miles Austin if T-Will keep this up.

Cordarrelle Patterson’s auto on these is much worse than Christine Michael…

Those Seahawks booklets look cool with the neon green and whatever those crown looking things are that they put on the numbers.

Even though he’s on a different team now I got my hopes up to see a Peyton autographed booklet here, obviously not seeing it is a bit disappointing. Still these early images look pretty nice and I look forward to seeing more soon. Thanks Tracy!

Lookin’ good! I like the veteran books as well as some of the varied backgrounds for the autographs. I believe that the white background or frame helps the autos or swatches really pop off of the card!
