Hot Off the Presses: Panini America Readies Commemorative Super Bowl XLVIII Sets

January 21, 2014

Panini America Super Bowl XLVIII Collection Main (1)

In the wee hours of Monday morning, not long after the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks punched their respective tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII, a new game began for Panini America officials. This one featured just as good a game plan, just as much teamwork and just as much timely execution as the AFC and NFC Conference Championship Games from the night before.

Because it did, by the time the lunch hour rolled around yesterday yet another victory was secured. Panini America had finished printing, packaging and shipping what promise to be among the most coveted Super Bowl souvenirs available in New York next week: Two different versions of the official Commemorative Super Bowl XLVIII Collection.

Panini America’s Commemorative Super Bowl XLVIII Collection actually features two different configurations: One 20-card set featuring 10 top stars from each of the two Super Bowl combatants; and a 40-card set featuring 10 Broncos, 10 Seahawks and 10 players each from the New York Jets and New York Giants, the Super Bowl XLVIII host teams.

Both sets will be available for sale beginning Friday exclusively at the NFL Shop at Super Bowl inside the iconic Macy’s Herald Square, Toys R Us Times Square and at New York/New Jersey area Modell’s stores. But if you’re as excited about Super Bowl XLVIII as we are and simply can’t wait until Friday, we’ve provided a card-by-card preview of Panini America’s Commemorative Super Bowl XLVIII Collection in the gallery that follows.

Enjoy.

I went to Modells, and called a few of them as well, and no one seems to have any idea what I am talking about with these cards. I live less than 10 miles from the stadium. Any idea how to get these?

You can get them at the NFL Shop at Macy’s Herald Square on the fourth floor.
