‘El Samba’ World Cup Prizm 1/1s Launching on Panini America’s New eBay Platform

June 12, 2014

ElSambaBlog

To coincide with today’s opening of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Panini America has created a one-of-a-kind “El Samba” parallel version of its internationally popular 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Prizm trading card set that will be available exclusively on the company’s new eBay platform beginning today. Inspired by the yellow-and-green colorway of the host country, the “El Samba” 1/1 parallels feature both a color scheme and printing pattern that were not utilized in the original Prizm product.

Panini America will launch 10 new three-day auctions each day throughout the World Cup, beginning with today’s first lot, which includes stars from Brazil, Croatia, Chile and Australia. As the World Cup progresses, Panini America will also add 1/1 “El Samba” parallel autographs to the auction roster.

Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional details on the exclusive “El Samba” auction. For now, here’s the tentative auction schedule for the first week:

I bought 12 packs of World Cup Europe computer code version today at Dollar Tree. I was so happy I saw them and they had them.

I can’t. find any of these. Panini are hard to find at retail stores and no hobby stores around area

It would be a neat contest for people to guess whose card will sell for the most out of all these, maybe bring some interest to the individual players to those like me who know very little about the sport. Thanks Tracy!

I didn’t like the Prizm Football Pylon Auction, and I don’t like this. I might give it a pass if this was some kind of charity event, but doesn’t look like it. Straight Cash Grab.

why are the cards for the world cup are only available to the US?

    • June 15, 2014 1:49 pm

They’re available for international shipping. We had a mistake on the listing of the initial lot of 10 cards. That option has been corrected going forward.

Why does Panini not offer combine shipping for these cards? I won 5 cards and really don’t want to pay over $50 to ship them within the United States.

when will the next list go up for the upcoming cards
