Panini America 2014-15 Gala Basketball QC68

Whether it’s the expectedly epic “Straight Outta Compton” or the somewhat-by-surprise success of “Ant-Man,” there’s something about a good, old-fashioned summer blockbuster that keeps folks buzzing well into the fall and winter months and paves the way for appreciation abroad, too. And so it is that Panini America’s movie-themed 2014-15 Gala Basketball, an international-only summer blockbuster in its own right, makes its way to foreign destinations next week — with a global group of collectors anxiously awaiting its release.

We’ve brought you brief snippets of 2014-15 Gala Basketball in recent weeks right here on The Knight’s Lance, compelling card-image trailers if you will that have served to build anticipation for the product’s full theatrical release. In preparing for the highly anticipated global premiere, Panini America Basketball Brand Managers spent some quality time earlier this week Quality Controlling and packing out the product. In the gallery that follows, we bring you some of the must-see results from that process.

The product boasts some of the most limited Rookie Cards in industry history (each is numbered to just eight) and each box will delivers three autographs and one memorabilia. You can see many of Gala’s co-stars in the exclusive sneak peek that follows. Enjoy, and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of 2014-15 Gala Basketball.

Did I see a wax dealer in Chantilly, VA have them for sale on their site? How is that possible?

Cards look retro in design and are too dark in color….is that appealing to a non-US collector or something?
