Preparing for Packout: 2010 National Treasures Football (Gallery & Video)

February 14, 2011

It’s fitting that we took a trip to the Panini America printing facility across town on Valentine’s Day of all days. After all, there’s little in our work life that we love more.

Today’s glorious sojourn would’ve been worth it even if we would’ve had to make the 80-mile round trip on our knees, for it revealed resplendent first looks at several stunning gems from the forthcoming 2010 National Treasures Football, a product rich with some of the most historic high-end content the football card world has ever seen.

Hyperbole, you say? Check out the gallery, watch the video and see for yourself. But you might want to sit down first.

Oh, and stay tuned later in the week for more exclusive galleries from the National Treasures packout . . . as well as a special Panini Unwrapped episode starring 2010 Playoff Contenders Football.

And now, the video . . .

that Barry Sanders/Adrian Peterson dual is hands down one of the coolest cards I’ve seen in some time.

I really like those Reebok patch cards…a little different is always good.

That Sanders/Peterson card isn’t even fair. I’m not sure to who it’s not fair, but it’s just too good of a card. Colossally Impressive!!!

I love the die-cut windows. I’m glad panini splurged to buy a font that wasn’t brutally ugly. Anyways, it’s nice to see panini getting closer and closer and closer.

These cards look amazing; it’s just disappointing that sticker autos will be needed to finish them.

O.M.G… Wow. *gasp* Absolutely drool-worthy. Infact, even breath-taking. Love the way you guys went with the solid white backround.. It just looks clean and sharp. This looks to be a monumental release. I cannot wait to see them in real life.. I hope I can pull ONE of the cards shown during that video. Thanks for the teaser, you have succeded only in making me more excited for NT!

Can anybody explain the National Treasures “Timeline” they showed in the video? There was a card laid out for Steve McNair that had no yet been autographed. How is that going to be possible since he is dead?

Am I missing something here…what will the collector receive if they get this fine card

    Anybody?

    • February 15, 2011 3:15 pm

I may have misspoke in the video. Not all of those Timeline cards will be autographed.

      • February 15, 2011 6:10 pm

I stand corrected. There will be 10 cards in the set — two limited to four each and two 1/1s — that include Steve McNair sticker autographs.

That is one of the few times having sticker autos is just awesome! New Steve Mcnair autos, freaking fantastic! I feel its going to be a very rough month when this stuff comes out! I want like 10 cases of this stuff, but I will have to be satisfied with one or two boxes.. if I’m lucky!
