Best in Class: Rich Rookie Content Shines in 2012 National Treasures Football (Gallery)

April 1, 2013

Panini America 2012 National Treasures Football Rookie Content (22)

Between our recurring galleries showcasing on-card arrivals from the likes of Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Doug Martin and more, you probably think you’ve seen all the rookie content there is to see in the upcoming 2012 National Treasures Football. Actually, there’s quite a bit more worth seeing — and we’re about to show it to you.

While we’ve done our best here at The Knight’s Lance to deliver your first look at autographed cards from the rookie headliners as their completed cards have been returned, the fact is we’ve missed some arrivals along the way. So we took an opportunity last week during the packout process for 2012 National Treasures Football to grab just a few more pre-release images.

As a result, you’re about to see many of the product’s autographed Rookie Cards, inserts and parallels for the first time, including the poignant pigskin of the Rookie Shield autographs, some non-NFLPA Rookie Premiere signatures from the likes of Greg Zuerlein (better known as “Legatron” or “Greg The Leg”), Blair Walsh and Janoris Jenkins, and at least one NFL Gear Dual Rookie NFL Shield. You’ll also catch a few more glimpses of Luck and Martin, as well as first-time peeks at Alshon Jeffery, Brock Osweiler, Robert Turbin, Stephen Hill, David Wilson and more.

Enjoy — and stay tuned later this week as our countdown to 2012 National Treasures Football continues with some of the product’s rich legend and Hall of Fame content.

most of us can’t afford to buy boxes/cases of both Playbook and NT, might want to think about spacing them out a little bit 🙂

Great to see these, but I sure wish your could get a bunch of these players to sign autographs for older redemptions such as Crown Royale, Gridiron, Absolute, etc. It would be nice to get these older redemptions into the hands of collectors but then new product is what drives your market.

So what is the actual street date for NT?

    Tracy,
I love the design of National Treasures, out with the gaudy designs and in with the simple white that makes the colors of the patches and photos of the players jump off the cards. You know cannot wait for that Tannehill, great work.

I don’t really open any post other than Basketball but this was just to eye catching not too! I really hope yall do something like this for us NBA collectors in the near future! These cards are a perfect example if I were to explain my top 5 favorite looks. They are just so clean and crisp! I love it! The jumbo patches and the football pieces with auto are to sexy. This is the definition of a winning product! Hands down to you Panini. Well played.

What this guys said!!! After no cards in basketball this year and some forgettable years of timeless and absolute (although you guy did rock it with Prizm and Select) I’m expecting BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBIIIIIGGGGGG things for NT Basketball. Great job on fball!

These cards look great but unfortunately they will be around $500 per box and I would expect a premium product to avoid the sticker autographs when asking for a ton of money. The upcoming PLAYBOOK blows this years NT out of the ball park especially for $300 less. It is nice to be able to afford a case or even a box, but paying $500+ and getting a roster causality sticker auto would make any grown person weak at the knees. Honestly 50% of these cards look great though and will sell for huge money on the black market also known as ebay lol.

anybody who buys wax should realize that if you’re ever gonna spend the money on NT, with this rookie class, and the expansion of auto’s for the legends/vets, especially on card, this is definitely the year to do it. being only a week apart, I’ll gladly pass on playbook and wait for NT.

If those leather nfl auto shields showed the whole shields instead of being trimmed down those would be the best 1/1 cards ever. Just sucks that they are trimmed and the auto is cut off on the Trent Richardson.

Just got my case, pulled 4 1/1’s, including a 1/1 Andrew Luck NFL Shield Auto from NFL Gear! Best NT release ever.
